True Confections

Just saw the premier episode of True Confections on Channel Q this evening. The show, which is hosted by Sam Oh and two lady chefs, is all about baking and making sweets. I've always wanted to learn how to bake but circumstances have always prevented me from doing so. I just love, love this show. In just a span of thirty minutes, I learned the basics of baking which I perceived as complicated in the past. Thank you, Channel Q for thinking of this concept. True Confections is extremely educational and entertaining at the same time.

Here's a picture of the easy chocolate cake they featured in the show tonight. It's just amazing how a seemingly complicated cake like this one is in fact so easy to make.



Just an observation I have to share. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed the chef named Jacky a bit of a "suplada." She barely smiles in the show. There was one instance when Sam was asking her the design concept of the cake she was making and she didn't answer Sam. She said she was concentrating on the cake. But gosh, she's on tv and they're supposedly promoting sweet ideas. A bit of sweetness on her part towards her co-hosts will surely help the show.
